His career saw him work as a chef in various Japanese restaurants and hotels. In 1963 he left to manage the Kikuya restaurant in Honolulu (Hawaii). Twelve years later, in 1975, he moved to Alaska and three years after that took over the management of the KEI restaurants owned by the Hilton hotel chain in the Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
His professionalism and his reputation as one of the great Japanese chefs led him directly to the kitchens of the Imperial Palace where he went on working until his retirement.
He has recently moved to Marbella with his family to take charge of the kitchens at Taro Guadalpin.
On more than one occasion he has cooked for the Spanish Royal Family, specifically for the Infantas and Prince Felipe.
