This hotel is just perfect for golfers! Just returned after spending 4 days at the Gran Hotel. We had a very large bedroom, large living room, huge bathroom with great round bath and with a double terrace! Rooms were very clean. In fact the room was great! Air con and heating was controlled from the room which was great. Being February it was sunny but wind a bit chilly so couldn't try out the outdoor pools which looked great for families in the summer. Very nice breakfast with plenty of choice and service very good.

The beauty treatments looked impressive but I didn't try them as ran out of time. This hotel is great for golfers, the courses are fantastic as is the view from the hotel. We took a taxi from airport to hotel which took about 30 mins and also went to Marbella - wow, the yachts, cars and designer shops are a must! Mijas is beautiful and there are some lovely restaurants.

I have stayed in many hotels and this is definitely one of the best I have had the pleasure of staying in.

We arrived late morning to the hotel and went to check in. We had booked a 2 bed family suite. Our room wasnt ready but we were advised we were free to use all the facilities in the meantime and to come back in a couple of hours. We were asked if two rooms side by side became available first would we be willing to take those instead of waiting for our suite. I said ok, wondering what we would get.

The wait was worth it. We had been given two double suites side by side with interconnecting doors. The rooms was enormous. One of the rooms was so large it had two balconies. And the baths, we took a picture of the 3 guys all sitting side by side inside the bath, with plenty of room to spare. Only draw back of the large bath was it took forever to fill.

There was a wedding taking place in the hotel and if anything that added to the atmosphere. One of my friends said he would definitely come back here for his wedding.

The hotel is a typical white washed Spanish building sprawled out along side a gorgeous golf course. The place had peace, relaxation and luxury around every corner we went.
We were only here for the one night, but if we go back to the South of Spain we will definitey stay in this hotel again. Yes it is a little off the main road and you would have to travel if you were going out for a meal. We didnt have evening meal in the hotel but the food looked delicious.

Breakfast was great, fantastic selection here, though unlike its sister hotel in Marbella the majority of tables are inside. If I were to suggest any change to this hotel it would be to have more breakfast tables available outside during the warmer months.

We had our wedding reception at the Byblos on the 13th September and can only describe the hotel as amazing and beautiful.

Around 50 guests stayed at the hotel for a few nights before the wedding and every one of them said how much they loved it.

The food was excellent, the rooms were lovely and very good value for money. Yes. it's a way from the sea and you need a car but then you are booking a hotel on a golf course so what do you expect?

The staff are fantastic and were very attentive.

All in all we had a lovely stay there culminating with the wedding reception and would recommend the hotel for either a normal stay or a wedding reception.

I stayed at this hotel for the one week the first week in August.

From Malaga International Airport (AGP) the journey was approx 25 minutes by taxi to the hotel costing 45 euros.

On arrival our room was available and we had been upgraded to a superior junior suite which was a very nice touch, these suites are very spacious and i would say would be worth the normal rack rate. - 250 euros plus tax in 2008.

We had a large bedroom with a huge bed, and good sized lounge, lots of wardrobe space and a large bathroom with seperate bath and shower , products are also very nice and consisted of shampoo, bath gel, soap, shower caps, cotton buds, robes and slippers.no hair cond though.
Some room had pool shoes for use but not all.

We had a good sized balcony overlooking directly the golf course ,with padded chairs , our room which was room 260 was probably in the better part of the hotel.
The hotel is vast when inside especially the side which contained the spa.
Check in is 4pm, check out is 12pm , depending on the hotel will depend if you can check in earlier we did but many had to wait until 4pm. But you can use the pool if your early.

Maid service was very good and the staff were very nice. Pool, there are two and they are very deep in parts, good amount of sunloungers -padded and towels...Great added value is the free wifi in public areas. There is also an fast internet corter available for 3 €/ 30 min in case you did not bring your laptop with you.

The amazing buffet breakfast, one of the best I've even seen, is served between 7am and 11.00 and is a fantastic display of hot and cold, the cold has many dishes and the hot is ample enough.

The hotel arranges cabs with ease, but again costs are high.
Mijas village approx 16 euros each way
Fuengirola approx 15 euros each way
Cala a little more
marbella 45/50 euros each way.
malaga airport 45 euros each way.

If you go to this hotel you  and you are planning to visit the area you'd better rent a car, if you want to be totally relaxed reading on the pool overviewing the golf courses, playing tennis and basically having a full rest, this is absolutely a good place!!

I would recommend a restaurant called El Golf on the next golf complex for dinner , excellent service and a really friendly place with good food, not cheap though but highly recommended , the staff here were outstanding.

This is a great hotel. The service was superb, the staff helpful and very knowledgeable. Whatever you need, whenever it was needed there was someone to assist you. We got a great price for this hotel through this site. We were four and was able to find a suite were we could be together which is usually hard to find in the area, only Hoteles Guadalpin 5* offers family suites for up to 5 pax. There is a spa on site, so we were able to use the sauna and get great massages. I have already recommended this hotel to my friends. Fantastic.

My husband and I stayed at the Guadalpin Byblos for one week in August, and I must say we had a fantastic holiday. The staff were very helpful, rooms first class, and the breakfast fantastic. It was a most relaxing week and everything was first class.

I was talking to a few people who had been twice or three times and I am considering booking for next summer myself.First class hotel and staff. A tip: rent a car to get the most of your stay there.

We are just back from a weeks stay in Gran Hotel Guadalpin Byblos and I don't think either of us have ever been so relaxed and refreshed from a holiday and that is saying something because we always come back relaxed, reception staff on arrival were so friendly, room was lovely, real spanish charm, we had a fabulous view over the golf course towards the mountains and down on the swimming pools.

We ate twice in hotel restaurant by pool, and would have ate more there only we were meeting friends on other evenings, and it was worth every penny as food was delicious and atmosphere was just amazing. I will definitely go back.
